Grace offers Stephen Ministers to people in and beyond the congregation who are dealing with difficult life issues. The Stephen Ministers at Grace are lay people trained to provide one-to-one Christian care. Stephen Ministry relationships are confidential. Acts Five Hospital Ministry
Members of this ministry visit Grace “family” members hospitalized locally.

Blood Pressure Screening
Once a month, the Blood Pressure Screening Ministry offers blood pressure screening in the narthex after both church services.

Card Ministry
The card ministry sends cards of encouragement and support to the homebound and bereaved. Cards also are sent to new parents.

Christmas in July

Members of this ministry bake, package and deliver cookies in July to Grace “family” members who are homebound or live in residential care facilities.

College Connection
College Connection ministry members nurture the faith of Grace youth, launching new beginnings at college by preparing and sending Grace mailings, cards and care packages, and assisting in other activities for those youth and their parents. They also seek in various ways to minister to the needs of students at Wittenberg during their time in Springfield.

Extensions of Grace
This ministry takes Holy Communion once a month to Grace “family” members who are homebound or live in residential care facilities.

Homebound Visitation Ministry
Team members regularly visit Grace “family” members who are homebound or live in residential care facilities.

Garden Ministrygarden_veggies
The Grace garden ministry members work together to plan and plant the annual garden. The produce from the garden is shared with people in need. The Grace Garden Ministry also provides money for St. John’s Food Pantry by selling vegetables on Sunday mornings at the Harvest Table.

Meals for the Bereaved
This ministry provides a meal after a funeral service for family and friends of the deceased.

Meals on Call
This ministry provides meals to families in need on an established schedule while needed.

Military Support
The military support ministry provides support to active military personnel through cards, letters, care packages and prayer partners.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
The prayer shawl ministry combines prayers with knitting and crocheting, as they craft beautiful prayer shawls with love and care for those with great physical, emotional or spiritual needs.

Support for New Moms
This ministry offers meals and other support to families who have been blessed with a recent birth.
